Chi Omega

Sisters On Purpose

A Message From chi omega’s president

Hi! My name is Payton Larson, and I am honored to serve as this year’s Chapter President of Chi Omega. Leading a chapter that has given me so much is something I am deeply grateful for. Chi Omega has shaped my college experience in ways I never could have anticipated, and it continues to inspire me every single day. Arriving at Cal Poly as an out-of-state freshman was both exciting and intimidating. Being away from my family and the familiarity of home pushed me far outside my comfort zone. I was searching for connection, stability, and a place where I truly felt like I belonged. When I found Chi Omega, I found exactly that. I met women who were genuine, kind-hearted, and welcoming from the very beginning. Their authenticity drew me in, and their support helped me find my footing during a time of transition. What makes Chi Omega so special is the environment our members create together. We are a chapter of strong, motivated women who value scholarship, leadership, service, and personal growth. My sisters continuously challenge me to aim higher, pursue my goals with confidence, and embrace opportunities that help me grow. At the same time, they are the people who celebrate life’s happiest moments and stand beside you during its most difficult ones. That balance of encouragement and unwavering support is what makes this sisterhood so meaningful. Through Chi Omega, I have developed confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that extend far beyond my time in college. The friendships I have built here are ones I will carry with me for the rest of my life. This chapter has not only influenced who I am today, but also who I am becoming. Chi Omega has become my home on Cal Poly’s campus, a place where I feel known, supported, and inspired. It is my hope that every woman who walks through our doors feels that same sense of belonging and possibility. We are so excited to meet you and share what makes this sisterhood so special.

Scholarship Opportunites

Scholarships are a valuable resource to help ease the financial commitment of Panhellenic membership. A variety of options are available to support members with dues and related expenses, making sorority life more accessible and affordable.

Available Scholarship Opportunities:

  • Chapter Scholarships: Individual chapters offer scholarships, such as but not limited to need-based or merit-based scholarships to active members. These awards are funded through chapter fundraising efforts or alumni donations and are designed to directly offset member dues.

  • National Organization Scholarships: National sorority organizations often provide scholarships such as but not limited to, academic achievement, leadership involvement, and financial need. These awards may assist with chapter dues, housing costs, or overall educational expenses.

  • Panhellenic Scholarships: The Panhellenic Council offers campus-wide scholarships to members of any affiliated chapter. These scholarships typically recognize leadership, academic excellence, community involvement, and demonstrated financial need. Scholarships vary by quarter, visit our scholarship tab for more information.

Together, these opportunities help ensure that finances do not stand in the way of sisterhood, leadership development, and the full sorority experience.
