Kappa Kappa Gamma

Dream Boldly, Live Fully

A Message From Kappa Kappa Gamma’s president

Serving as President of the Eta Rho chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Cal Poly is an honor that has forever changed me, because this chapter has shaped my life in ways I never could have imagined. Before Kappa, I had never experienced what it felt like to be fully known, deeply seen, and genuinely loved for every part of who I am. From the moment I walked through our doors, I felt an overwhelming sense of belonging. Kappa quickly became more than just an organization to me, it became my home.

What makes this chapter so meaningful isn’t just what we do, but how we show up for each other every single day. It’s in the quiet moments, someone checking in when you’ve had a hard day, the hugs that last a little longer, the laughter that fills a room, and the unspoken understanding that you are never alone here. These women have seen me at my highest highs and my lowest lows, and they have never once let me face anything on my own. They have shaped me into a stronger, more confident version of myself, while loving me exactly as I am.

Our chapter is made up of women who are driven, passionate, and incredibly unique, yet what unites us is something deeper. Genuine care for one another. We celebrate each other’s wins like they are our own, we lift each other up without hesitation, and we create a space where everyone feels they truly belong. The love in this chapter is not surface-level, it runs deep in the veins of Kappa and connects each of us, even when we are apart.

Beyond our sisterhood, we are deeply committed to making a difference. Through our philanthropies and involvement in the San Luis Obispo community, we strive to give back to the place we are so lucky to call home. What makes Kappa truly special is not only the impact we have, it’s the little moments we share each day. Sunsets at the beach, spontaneous late-night drives, studying side by side, or simply being surrounded by people who make even ordinary days feel meaningful. These are the moments that stay with you.

Kappa has given me more than I could have ever asked for. It has given me lifelong friendships, unwavering support, and girls who push me to better myself. It has challenged me to grow, to lead, and to believe in myself in ways I didn’t before. Most importantly, it has shown me what it means to be part of something bigger than myself - a sisterhood.

My hope is that when you learn about KKG, you can feel even a small piece of the love, strength, and authenticity that make this chapter so special. There is something truly powerful about finding a place where you are not only welcomed, but deeply valued. We are so proud of the sisterhood we’ve built, and are grateful to share what makes Eta Rho so special.

With all my love,

— President Lucy Fagan
